In 2025 David Nightingale curated an exhibition marking the 50th anniversary of Chris Bonnington’s South West Face British Everest Expedition. He was granted access to Chris Bonington and Doug Scott’s photo libraries and to many artifacts and items from the climb. Tonight’s presentation is based on that exhibition. This is a rare chance and permission to use these assets for this talk took some time to be granted. The fee for this evening will be donated to Community Action Nepal (the charity founded by Doug Scott).
