Special Interest Groups
One of the ways we work together at Bury Photographic Society is through our Special Interest Groups (SIGs). The groups were set up with the idea that sections of the membership have some common types of photography that they enjoy and by can work together to organise events and trips to take pictures, Working together the group members help each other to take better images. We have a couple of evenings throughout the year where the Special Interest Groups show some of the images they have taken to the rest of the club too. Each SIG has a coordinator but it’s the responsibility of the individuals within the groups to organise events for the rest of the group to take part in. It’s proved to be a popular and effective way for our members to work together and learn from each other.
