Street
Street Photography is a wide subject, but the great thing is it can be done anywhere there are people in the urban environment.
The Street SIG meets a few times a year to go out and about in the communities we live in to find photo opportunities. Recent walks around Manchester city centre and the Northern Quarter have been enjoyed by the group.
As well as trying to find good street images, we set an optional theme for each shoot - maybe ‘Red’ or ‘Motion’ and see what our members can come up with. We all learn from each other to see what works and what can be improved.
Just like the other Special Interest Groups, we organise our outings together - usually one member will suggest where we could go and then we agree a time and place to meet for a coffee and a chat before we head off into the streets.
The group is open to anyone to join, and we don’t have to limit numbers for our events. Why not give Street Photography a try with the Street Special Interest Group? Join us and improve your photography!
